On May second it was my birthday. I ate birthday cake and went to XuJiaShan Park.
From May third to May fifth, I watched TV, went cycling, went swimming, took pictures, enjoyed fish and jelly. Sour and sweet pork bolus. Fried eggs with tomatoes. I also watched TV.

其实，爸爸的英语水平并不高，顶多就是小学三四年级的水平。爸爸常说：“要想给学生一碗水，自己先得有一桶水，为此，他不得不自学英语。这无疑给他增加了难度。他学英语学的很艰苦，很认真。爸爸是将近四十岁的人了，他学习没有别的目的，只为辅导我，以便让我学的更好。“望子成龙”嘛！可见爸爸在为我成才方面付出了多少心血。
爸爸他买了好多有关英语方面的书，还买磁带和光盘。在这方面花钱他似乎从不心疼。爸爸学英语经常一学就是半夜。爸爸的.英语水平并不高，课本上有很多单词他都不会读，就自己查字典，注音标，跟着复读机一起读，目的是为了学会更准确的发音。遇到似懂非懂的问题时，连我都懒的弄懂它，可爸爸总要查字典找资料，一定要弄个明白。有一天，我们一起学到深夜１２点，我都打盹了，我问爸爸：“爸爸，你不瞌睡吗？”爸爸说：“为了你爸爸不能瞌睡！”
爸爸经常和我说，要想学习好，必须热爱学习，对学习产生浓厚的兴趣。把学习当成一种乐趣去享受，看见书就头痛，是没有好成绩的。对于学习的兴趣是完全可以培养的。要想学习好还得勤奋下苦功去钻研，一个不学无术之人，永远不会在考试方面做出好成绩来。
我明白，自己英语差，是不努力用功的原因。爸爸为了鼓励我学习，常常和我以起朗读，做作业。用他自己的话来说这叫“陪读”。爸爸说“陪读”一词是近几年听说的，如今社会变了，父母亲在教育子女的方式也似乎变了。爸爸说“陪读”只能陪到我小学毕业，不可以陪到我初中，高中。他只能充当我的一个启蒙老师，学习成绩的好坏关键在我自己把握。
从那一年起，在我和爸爸的共同努力下，我的英语成绩有了很大的提高，后来，每当我学习想偷懒的时候总会想起爸爸的话和他的学习精神，每当这时我也自然勤奋起来。

立意不鲜明
经常看见孩子边写边数“一、二、三……”凑字数现象普遍，或者经常问老师：“写不出来，我能瞎编吗？”有些孩子极度缺乏生活常识或生活经历、也没经典阅读文学的滋养，造成“下笔无言”，或者写的东西单纯为了搞怪、好玩，没有实质性内容。
建议家长增加孩子的`生活阅历和原版阅读，从而先做到“有语意、有观点、有情绪”。
结构不完整
小学生作文容易结构缺失，常见写着写着，突然结束没有结尾；或者没有开头，让读者莫名其妙…… 小学生作文通常逻辑混乱，思维跳跃，东一句、西一句，内容不关联。
建议先训练“框架式写作”，利用一些连接词理清思路，如：First of all, For a start, In addition… 进而做出取舍，突出闪光点。对内容进行取舍非常很有必要性的，避免文章冗长、论据雷同、突出文章的重点。建议训练孩子加强整篇概念：Introduction, Body, Conclusion, 即中文所说的“总~分~总”，确保文章的完整性。
中式思维
小学生作文表达中式思维过重：学生中文思维能力远远超出其英文表达能力，所以出现错句、断句等现象。不少孩子写作文竟然变成了“中文翻英文”的过程，脑子里面构思的是中文作文，千方百计把它翻译成英文而已。
建议要培养孩子长期原版阅读习惯，积累词汇和形成英文思维，从而缩短当中转换环节。
基本功不过关
小学生作文单词拼写、语法错误众多：三单错误，时态混乱等等，建议避开雷区，扎实学好基本语法和句式，并养成检查习惯，进而做到下笔无错。
句式单一
小学生作文句式太单一：通篇一种到两种句式，即使没有错误，也很难归类到一等作文行列。
如果孩子年龄小，就只会那两种，如简单静态句或进行时，也建议控制好比例，适时转换。

however, i was very thirsty and wanted to buy a large bottle of milk to drink, but i didn’t have enough money left because even a small bo of milk would cost me 2 yuan and i needed 2 yuan to pay the bus fare. so i gave it up at last.
