今天妈妈和我比赛做题，第一题的时候，妈妈总是读错总是让我给她纠正过来。写第二题的时候，她把夏天的夏字写成了下面的` 下了，我看了看，哈哈大笑，我在妈妈的卷子上打了个大大的"*"号。就在加标点的时候通过把逗号写成了句号，我帮她改过来。
Today, my mother and I competed to do the first question. When I read the first question, my mother always asked me to correct it. When she wrote the second question, she wrote the summer character below. I looked at it and laughed. I put a big "*" on my mother's paper. Just when punctuating, I wrote a comma as a full stop, and I helped her to change it.

这周，学校举行英语周活动。在老师的推荐下，让我去参加英语歌曲比赛。终于，比赛的日子到了，我走进大礼堂，看见大礼堂里坐着好多人，我的心开始忐忑不安起来，总是想：万一我唱错了怎么办？万一忘记歌词怎么办？万一……比赛开始了，我们班的`俞力铭第一个上场，只见他胸有成竹地唱起来，还加了许多活泼的动作，台下的观众都被深深地吸引了。唱完以后，俞力铭看到我害怕的样子，说：“别怕，只要你把下面的观众当成萝卜白菜就可以了。”
该轮到我上台了，我暗暗地为自己“鼓劲”：别慌，我能行，一定能行的。我挺直了腰杆，大胆地走上台去，为大家唱起了一首《彩虹歌》，随着优美的歌声，我慢慢地忘记了紧张，越来越放松，越唱越好。演唱结束了，台下响起了一阵雷鸣般的掌声，我的心里甜滋滋的。
经过了这次难忘的英语歌曲比赛，使我深深明白了：无论做什么事，实际上都不像我们想象中的那么难，只要对自己充满信心，就一定能成功。

上个星期六，我去参加英语学习班。到了那里，老师说：“今天是复习课，我们进行一次比赛好吗？”一听说要比赛，同学们顿时高兴地欢呼雀跃。老师接着宣布比赛规则：“比赛分两个组，两个环节，一个环节是必答题，一个环节是抢答题，我们先进行必答题，答对了加一分，答错了不扣分。”紧接着老师出了第一道题：“我可以邀请一些朋友来参加我的生日聚会吗？（汉译英）”。我们组的段鉴书同学站起来不慌不忙的用英语翻译了出来，老师二话没说就在黑板上加了一分，然后老师又让二组的同学回答！大部分同学都对答如流。这时，轮到我们组吴号同学了，老师出了一道题：“Shall we change to slippers？（英译汉）”。吴号一下想不起来了，急的抓耳挠腮，不知所措。我们组的同学急得像热锅上的蚂蚁，可二组的同学却恰恰相反，高兴的手舞足蹈，忽然我灵机一动，想出了一个办法提醒他，指了指脚，意思是说：我们还需要换拖鞋吗？可是他想不起来，忽然，他的脸上露出了笑容说：“我们可以换拖鞋吗？”老师说：“是需要，不是可以，就算你对吧！”
我们这才松了一口气。
必答题答完了，他们比我们多得两分，抢答题又开始了，抢答题的`规则是：答对了加两分，答错了减两分，同学们都争先恐后的举起了手，没被叫起回答问题的同学都唉声叹气，比赛在激烈进行着。这时我给我的组赢了两分，同学们都欢呼雀跃，比赛结束了，二组的同学赢了！他们都高兴的说了声：“耶！”
虽然我们没拿冠军，但是这种学习方式却极大的激发了我们学英语的兴趣。

Last week, I took part in an English speech contest which was held by our teachers. There were twelve students in the final contest. I was one of them. Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty. Then I took a deep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. I am sure I will be better next time.
