　　英语，是国际通用语言，是大不列颠帝国曾经辉煌的佐证。其重要性不言而喻，但我今天不想高谈阔论，而只想说说它对我个人的影响——英语改变了我。

　　英语改变了我的性格。幼时的我总是沉默寡言，直到初二，这个问题才得以解决。以前的我不知是受到了谁的影响，认为沉默是金，认为“高冷”的性格很酷，从那时开始，我便开始装高冷：父母对我说话时我只回应一个“恩”，同学向我搭话，我也是爱理不理的样子。渐渐地，父母开始担心我是不是生病了，同学们也开始对我“横眉冷对”，那时的我发现了问题，想要去改变，却发现我已经“冷”到了骨子里，对谁都再提不起一点兴趣。直到我看了一部英语电影，我开始对应于着迷；每天看美剧，每天听英语歌。但很快我就意识到光听不说是不行的。从那以后，我便开始腆着脸与同学搭话，让他们听听我说英语，或许是因为我总是吵着要买磁带练听力，与父母的关系也破冰了。时间推移，我从幼时的“高冷”，开始变得阳光、热情洋溢起来。

　　英语改变了我的交际圈。在我开始着迷英语后，我的英语成绩直线上升。我开始受同学和老师的关注与欢迎，时常被老师“推”上台讲述如何学好英语，也时常被同学拉着讲题。不仅如此，在我常玩的一块国际性游戏中，由于我敢于开口说英语，我结交了不少外国玩家。我们相互促进，我教他们一句中文，他们也会指出一些我的英语发音或是语法问题。但最重要的是，我的`交际圈由此从国内转向了国际，我不仅开阔了眼界，获取了更纯正的英语知识，还扩宽了自己未来的道路。

　　英语改变了我的人生。虽然目前说这个为时尚早，但我有这样的信心。英语将我从一个内向的人，变为了一个洋溢着热情阳光气息的青春少年，为我开阔了眼界，为我的交际圈画上了浓厚的一笔。同时，英语也为我指明了道路。曾经的我懵懂无知，没有所谓的梦想，没有未来的人生方向，但当我遇到英语的时候，我开始明白我想要的究竟是什么。在我的人生中，英语是不可或缺的一部分。

　　在上述的经历中，英语彻彻底底地改变了我。现在有许多人不是很看中英语，甚至有些人还说学习英语就是想在未来当“卖国贼”，原谅我不能苟同。对我来说，英语在我的现在是“雪中送炭”，在我的将来，他将是“锦上添花”。

　　Generally, knowledge gained from books is theoretical, that gained from experience is practical. It is difficult to answer which is more important to we people. It depends on the phases and events of our learning.

　　Knowledge learned from books is (instructive教育性的,) which perhaps cannot learn directly from experience. We often hear thunders and see lightning in the sky, and we can easily find that lightning will be seen sooner than sound will be heard. According to our experience alone, we cannot tell why it had happened. But when we learn some physics in textbooks, we will find the answer clearly that because light travels faster than sound does, it takes less time for light to travel the same distance than for sound. Therefore, book knowledge can inform us some useful theories that can give us general ideas and help us understand the real phenomenon better.

　　In turn, practice knowledge check out the theories gained from books. There is an old Chinese saying that practice is the only criterion of inspecting the truth. So not all knowledge from books is credible, even false. When Aristotle wrote in his transcripts that the earth is the center of our planets, no one doubts this for centuries. However, when Galileo read about it, he did not suspect it at first, but when he made some observation and research, he found it is not the truth. Then comes the new theory—Sun center theory.

　　不过，最初接触它的时候，我也很害怕。那是三年级的时候，也就是刚升入学习英语的.年级，听说要学英语，我就忍不住打哆嗦，它仿佛魔鬼一般，时不时伸出一只爪子想要了我的小命！“叮……”英语课铃声响了，看到别的同学手托下巴，满是期待的样子，我不由地叹了口气。当老师满面春风地走进教室，对我们微笑点头时，我紧张的神经放松了一些。老师开始自我介绍了，我到现在还记得，老师对我们说的：“我姓钱，你们可以叫我Miss钱！”老师说完之后，同学们乱叫一气，不仅发音极不准确，而且还故意搞怪。接下来，Miss钱开始教第一个单元，带着我们认识了一些外国孩子的英文名字。不知怎么的，老师那清脆的声音把我带入一个美妙的地方，似乎英语也变得有趣了。随后，最恐怖的任务来了——背单词！我的好心情瞬间没有了！无精打采的我开始提起精神背起单词来，没想到那些单词对我来说却异常好记！老师开始验收成果了，有些同学还没背会一半，轮到我时，我居然行云流水般说了出来，老师为我鼓掌，同学们也投来羡慕的眼光，我顿时感觉英语没那么可怕了。以后的每堂课我都会认真听，每次考试都是班里的前三名。

　　前些天，我回了一趟乡下的老家。邻居王奶奶和她的小孙女正摆弄着一台小型收录机，王奶奶看见了我，连忙招呼说：“雯祎，你看这个怎么用呢？”我看了看说，“这个是电源开关，往on这边表示开，往off这边移就关了。”我边说，边示范，按下这个play button 键，就播放了。我一按，悦耳的音乐便在室内响起来了。王奶奶高兴地说：“还是雯祎厉害，我们不会英语就像个睁眼瞎啊！谢谢你啊！”我不好意思地摸摸头，笑着说：“不客气啦！”
